Protecting the poolside landscape with a retaining wall and stylish stone steps
After completing their new pool installation, this homeowner needed to stabilize the surrounding grade to prevent future erosion. Razor Sharp Lawn & Landscape installed a reinforced retaining wall to provide structural support and ensure long-term stability. To enhance accessibility, we also built natural flagstone steps leading to the pool area, creating both function and style.
Project Overview:
Excavating close to the pool required careful precision to allow space for geogrid reinforcement and proper drainage materials without compromising the structure. Once the retaining wall and steps were in place, we completed the project with Bermuda sod installation, seamlessly blending the pool area into the rest of the landscape.

- 20 tons of gravel for drainage and stability
- 18”x36” natural flagstone step treads for poolside access
- Bermuda sod for a lush, finished look
